Gretel's story
Gretel is a 2-year-old female Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. She was caught as a stray in heat, and was spayed and rescued. Her Texas rescue describes her as a goofy playful girl with a big personality -- great with dogs of all sizes as well as kids. She is crate-trained and house-trained, but she is a talker when she is "over" her crate. She loves to run and bounce around the yard like a deer!
Medical Note: Upon noticing an abnormal gait, Gretal was examined by an orthopedic vet. X-rays revealed an old broken pelvis which had healed. There is no surgery required and the pelvis has healed. She has shown no signs of discomfort or impact currently, but she may need joint supplements or pain medication later in life if she develops arthritis.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations - Rabies, DAPPV, Bordetella, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.
