Double Yellow Headed Amazon for sale in Seattle, Washington

$600

I have a proven male (I have the ppwk) DYH Amazon who is 24 years old. I've had him for 9 years and prior to me, he was with one family since he was a baby. He is fully feathered and in beautiful condition. His name is Maynard and he is an extra special bird. He needs a home where there are NO other parrots because he is a very jealous bird. He absolutely enjoys being the only bird in the house, otherwise he will yell a lot. He use to be my best bud in the whole wide world and because he was so perfect, I wanted more parrots. He made me fall in love with parrots! But unfortunately, having other parrots has caused me to lose my precious bond with him. And now, we just annoy each other. He needs to be in a home where he can be the only one and be loved and appreciated. Maynard use to go many places with me and just loved going to Lowes and saying loudly, "Hi, how are you?"
You may not change his name because he loves his name and says it often. You can nickname him but he responds to Maynard and says his name clearly. Parrots take some time to earn trust, so if you are patient and take your time with him, he will trust you and be the "perfect hand tame" parrot you dreamed of. In the meantime, he is stick trained and does not need to be confined to a cage. He loves to walk around the house and look around. Other than yelling, he is a very well behaved boy. He doesn't fly away or lunge at you. He loves to eat meat, pasta and flower seeds. If you shared your meal with him, he'd love you. He also eats seed mixture, pellets, peanuts and vegetables. Because he likes to yell, he cannot go to an apartment, townhome or condo. He is not a pet for children. He wants to be a one person bird, that's how he bonds and that's what will make him happy.
If you are interested, let me know and you can meet him. His price is $600.00.
