**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas**Howdy! I'm Tex. I'm a high energy guy who loves playing and running around. I've heard people say I'm a big boy, but I just don't get it. I only weigh 82 pounds...is that a lot? Oh well, size isn't an issue for me! You're only as big as you act, in my mind. And I act like I weigh 20 pounds!My very favorite thing in the world is chasing all things smaller than me. Since that's a hobby of mine, I can't live in a home with smaller dogs or cats or any small animal. And, since I'm as strong as (and as big as) a small horse, I also should be walked with a muzzle while in a neighborhood. I just can't help it. I really, really love to chase things! Squirrels, cats or yorkies...they're all fair game. So, for everyone's safety, I go along with the muzzle thing. After all, pleasing my humans is pretty important to me.If you're an active person looking to add a dog to your daily runs or hikes, I'd love to meet you! It'd be great to have a family of my own.Tex has lots of potential to be a wonderful companion. He wants to please and he's intelligent. However, he really does not understand how big he is and does, at times, behave like a puppy. As such, at this time, if there are children in the home, they should be 12+.
