This gorgeous, unique, hand carved Indonesian style Loveseat is unlike anything you will find in any furniture store in America. It was handcrafted as a one-of- a-kind piece, not mass produced. We don't know the exact age of it, but judging from the density and color of the ebony wood, it's easy tell it's not a modern piece because this dense kind of tree isn't plentiful any more.
The original price for this loveseat was $2400. So this is a deal and a steal for some savvy Americanlisted shopper!!
If you're not familiar with vintage Indonesian woods, they are extremely dense, extremely heavy, and extremely substantial. This is a piece that is built for generations. I think if you took a sledgehammer to it, you still would be able to break it.
The gold inlay isn't real gold (darn), some of it is metal and some of it is paint. When you see the detail up close, you'll be able to fully appreciate the craftsmanship, beauty, and uniqueness of this very, very special love seat.
It's difficult to part with it, but we are moving overseas and it's not practical to either ship it (because it's SO heavy) or to store it, since we don't know when we'll be back to the states - if ever! Our loss is definitely your gain. Whoever is the lucky one to get it in their home will enjoy using it and seeing it every day. And wait until you see what a conversation piece it is!
The loveseat comes with the seat cushion, but not the decorative pillows in the first photo. If you want the additional pillows, we're selling those too, but they're not included in the price of the loveseat.
You MUST come pick this piece of furniture up in Capitol Hill and you MUST have TWO strong people to move it. It is HEAVY and it can NOT be dragged across the floor or down the hall. We're on the 3rd floor of a condo building. There IS an elevator that you can use and there IS a parking garage that you can pull into, which makes things easier.
ACT FAST - We are having to move quickly and if you wait too long, this piece will be turned over to a consignment store and you will no doubt pay double for it there.
